Tucson’s iconic Le Cave’s Bakery is seeking an experienced baker to join our team. This position will be offered to a dependable candidate to fill a shift with a 1:30am start time. If a prompt 1:30am start time is too early, please do not apply. Candidates must be dependable, self-motivated, hard working, have their own transportation, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. This position is physically demanding and requires frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, squatting, and stooping/bending. Compensation will depend on experience.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of professional baking experience
- Able to follow a recipe and take direction from others
- Available any day of the week, including weekends
- Able to arrive on time and ready to work at 1:30am
- Able to stand for the duration of the shift
- Comfortable with lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
- Cake decorating skills is a plus but not required
- Excellent organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills
- Good judgment / decision making, and attention to detail
- Team player with enthusiasm, energy, and a positive attitude
- Follows excellent food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety practices
Duties:
- Meet daily production requirements as determined by management
- Provide direction and coaching to junior team members
- Measure and weigh ingredients
- Prepare dough, fillings, frostings, cakes, pies, donuts and other baked or fried goods
- Operate equipment including mixers, sheeters, dough presses, ovens, and fryers
- Periodically lift and carry bags, buckets, and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs
- Frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 20 lbs
- Occasionally assist team members in other areas of the store when needed
- Assemble cakes
- Finish various baked and fried goods
- Clean and reset production areas
